Biomedical Devices
Biomedical devices represent a wide variety of equipment that are beneficial for human health and welfare. A biomedical device, for the intention of determining ECOMED Technical's scope for maintenance and repairs; can be defined as equipment which is intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease, in man or other animals.
The scope to which ECOMED Technical conducts its maintenance and repair activities pertaining to biomedical devices is performed in line with AS/NZS 3551 – Technical management programs for Medical Devices, along with other associated Australian Standards.
